Our Leadership

Andy was born in Galveston, Texas, but grew up in the beautiful Pacific Northwest in Seattle, Washington. He grew up in a Christian family and professed faith in Jesus during high school, but he truly grew in his faith during his undergrad years at Rice University. During that time, his love for God and leading others to worship Him formed deep roots and began to bloom. A few years after graduating, Andy felt the Lord call him into ministry. He began working at a local Houston church and eventually completed a Master of Arts in Christian Leadership at Dallas Theological Seminary. After spending time as members of former sister church Sojourn Montrose, Andy and his wife Kristie moved into The Heights and began attending Christ Our Hope (then Sojourn Heights) in 2024.

Andy is passionate about empowering others to give God glory in all facets of life. He loves worship music that profoundly conveys the truth of the Gospel and God’s love, eliciting genuine adoration and devotion to God. In 2021, Andy married Kristie, a native Houstonian and fellow Rice grad. Together, they enjoy watching football and baseball games, playing with their kitten Rufus, cooking meals, and exploring Houston’s amazing food scene. Andy also loves playing ultimate frisbee at every possible opportunity, searching for the best Texas BBQ, and collecting sneakers & pocket knives.
