Our Location

Christ Our Hope meets inside the 610 Loop in the Sunset Heights neighborhood of Houston’s Greater Heights, just one block west of North Main at 2503 Gostick Street, Houston, TX, 77008. We have two parking lots—one at the SW corner of Aurora and Gostick Streets and another at the NE corner of Gostick and East 25th Streets. There is also plenty of street parking; just be sure not to block any of our neighbors’ driveways. We also reserve a few accessible parking spaces on Gostick Street in front of our sanctuary entrance.

Our Worship Services

We meet every Sunday at 10:30 am, but feel free to come a few minutes early to grab a cup of coffee and meet some of our members. Anyone wearing a blue lanyard in our foyer will be happy to answer your questions, but we have a friendly congregation who will be happy to welcome you. Our service is ordered to lead us through the gospel each week, and we try to give plenty of instruction so that visitors can know what we are doing. Our services last about 90 minutes.

Music: The music we sing each Sunday is a blend of genres with lyrics intended to worship God, strengthen our faith, and encourage our hearts to follow Jesus.

Prayer: Our devotion to prayer throughout our service demonstrates our deep, abiding dependence on God and His awesome, sovereign power over all things. We often kneel or sit during these portions of the service.

Preaching: Typically, we preach through the Bible one book (or portion of a book) at a time, one passage at a time. Sometimes we have special sermon series for certain seasons in the Christian calendar like Advent and Lent.

Children

When you come to visit, you will notice that children are a vital part of our community. Children of all ages are welcome to join us for worship, but we also offer classes for children ages 4 months to 5 years during the service. You may check your children in securely before the service in our children’s building (see map above), or you may take them to their class during the passing of the peace. If at any time you feel that your child is being too disruptive, feel free to take advantage of the Counseling Room off the foyer in the back of the sanctuary. There is also a Cry Room for nursing mothers. Both rooms have audio to the service.

What Should I Wear?

Most people just wear what is comfortable for them. Some might wear jeans and a shirt and others wear dressier clothes. We want you to feel welcome, so just come as you are!
